Chemical filters are generally transparent and invisible on the face, making them suitable for most skin types. However, old generation chemical filters can irritate the skin and were not very “photostable” /meaning they lose effectiveness over time in sunlight/ newer generation sunscreens have emerged that to “highly photostable”
